    US-Spec Sentra Sports Coupe

    VIN Pattern: JN1PB2413<H> <U> < 6 digits >

Interesting enough, the US market Sentra coupes do not have the B12 inside their VIN code, but B24 instead.

Similar to the EU-model, each B12 also comes with a "Nissan" model number, for example:

    KPLB12XFIUS

    <K> <G> <L> <N> B12 <R> <X> <F> <I> <U> <C>

    EU-Spec Nissan Sunny Coupe (LHD)

The chassis numbers of the EU-spec model actually have two parts:

    VIN Pattern: JN10KPB12U00001234

The VIN is the vehicle identification number, and internationally standardized.

Additionally, each B12 also comes with a "Nissan" model number, that is also imprinted on the VIN plate, and looks for example like this:

KPLB12HFIO (example from an E16i SLX with cat)

    KULB12JFEQR (example from an CA18DE)

This number is very similar to the Japanese chassis code number:

    <K> <P> <L> B12 <H> <F> <I> <Q> <C>

    K: Body type. K = RZ-1 Coupe, W = California Wagon.

    E: Engine. E = CA16DE, U = CA18DE, S = CD17 Diesel, H = E15. P = E16, G=GA16.
    L: Left-hand drive variant.

H: Grade variant. S = L, H = SLX or GTI Coupe, None means LX

    F: Transmission. A = Automatic, F = Manual 5 speed. No value means 4 speed manual.

I: Engine injection type. I = Single point injection.

Q: Region. E = Europe. No value means Europe with catalyic converter.

    C: Special Extras. C = aircon, P = power steering, S = sun roof, W = 5-mph-US-safety-bumpers, Y = rear wiper
